“I will trust that Her work is done.”

Last night I was praying to know what to text to a recently former employee who had to leave our employ to go to Texas for some experimental chemotherapy for a blood condition that she did not share many details about with me.  She is a very quiet person who does not want to talk about herself and I only learned these details because I felt the need to protect the business and herself as she got increasingly unwell at work and needed to seek help.

So I was praying what to talk to her about.  We have a small relationship outside of work consisting of texting back and forth about inconsequential things.  But I like to keep in touch.  And then I started to copy these citations for myself:

My. 165:16 "As an active portion of one stupendous whole, goodness identifies man with universal good.  Thus may each member of this church rise above the oft-repeated inquiry, What am I? to the scientific response: I am able to impart truth, health, and happiness, and this is my rock of salvation and my reason for existing.” (emphasis added)

What a powerful statement!!!!  It lifted me up.  I trust that I will continue to be lifted up in this place and in my parenting role.  I will trust that Her work is done and I will keep my head up and see…
