“Grateful for a quick and complete healing”

I had not slept well for a long period and was concerned about the demands of church, family, and calendar activities.  I had called a practitioner (Association guest), who was prayerfully supporting me. On this particular late afternoon I felt unsteady and my vision became such that I could not focus correctly and everything seemed doubled. To be in a safe place, I lay down on my bed and called the practitioner, who suggested I call a Christian Science nurse, which I had already decided to do. She arrived in about an hour and a half. It was so comforting to know that prayerful help was at hand, and she did talk with the practitioner whom I had called.

She shared spiritual truths and settled me for the night. She and the practitioner agreed she should stay with me. I do recall the reassurance of having her there during the night. In the morning things were quite normal and she helped me dress and eat breakfast. I was aware that I needed to accept full healing – that the work had been done and that the nothingness of the false claim had been seen and demonstrated and that I should not look back.

I am so grateful for this quick and complete healing.  I am deeply grateful for the dedicated support of our nurses and practitioners, and particularly for those who came so quickly to my side.

I have just finished reading “A Century of Christian Science Healing” for the first time and look forward to reading it again soon.
