“I love this healing because it shows that perfection was always there.”

On my way home from running errands one day, I came across an injured squirrel. As I reached out to pick him up and guide him away from the street, he turned and bit my finger. Initially, there was quite a bit of pain. As I sat in my car, I began to pray, knowing and understanding God’s love for the squirrel and myself. I knew that there was only Love going on and there was nothing to fear. Soon a calmness came over me.

After a short time of praying on my own, I felt a tingling sensation going up my arm and a numbness beginning to settle in. The suggestion of the squirrel having rabies was trying to take over my thought, so I called a Christian Science practitioner and explained the situation. She immediately assured me of God’s ever-presence and love. Then she said she would work. In a very short time, probably five minutes, the numbness and tingling disappeared and the bleeding stopped.

I drove home. When I got home, I was unable to use the finger normally and it appeared to be broken. With the practitioner’s clear and loving support, I was unafraid and expectant of healing. She also reminded me that the finger could never be less than perfect. The next day I was able to move the finger and pick things up.

The next morning after that, as I was getting out of bed and not even thinking about the finger, I looked down to pick something up. The skin on the finger was completely normal. There was no sign of an open wound, and I had full use of the finger. As I am writing this, I don’t even know which finger was healed.

I love this healing because it shows that perfection was always there. There never was any change in the fingerthat perfection just needed to be seen.

I am so grateful to God for yet again showing me that I am His perfect reflection. I am also grateful to the practitioner who never saw anything less than my true being. She also pointed out that everything is about God: glorifying Him, demonstrating His Allness, and proving His constant care.
