Hearing the voice of Truth on Association Day
/This year I was part of the team providing audio-visual support for our Association meeting. In preparation, I had been praying about the meeting, particularly about the issue of harmony in the communication with our off-site speaker.
On Association Day, about 10 minutes before the meeting was scheduled to start, the person coordinating technology let me know that the speaker’s microphone was not working.
Immediately, this thought came to me: The voice of the Christ, Truth, is always speaking to human consciousness. (See Science and Health 332: 9–11.) While that spiritual truth was clear, I decided to write out a treatment in my notebook. These were the primary truths I held to during that period:
Starting with the angel message above, I continued to reason that the voice of the Christ cannot be covered up, muted, or destroyed.
Animal magnetism has no power to operate because God is All.
The issue with the microphone is just a false belief trying to detract from our experiencing God’s allness and the harmony of our meeting, God’s gathering.
Within a few minutes, I got word that the issue with the microphone was rectified, and the Association address started on time.
Despite the speaker being on another continent on the other side of the world, the message of the day came through clearly. I am grateful for the day and for the realization that came before it started, too.
