A quick healing for my dog and me
/I had been traveling for my job with my darling little dog. Eve is a good traveler and knows most of the locations I visit. When she was sniffing around outside one location, she seemed to have gotten something in her foot and it became infected. She was listless and wouldn’t let me attend to it. She seemed to be suffering very much, and I could see her shaking with pain. Our home was a long way off, and I had nothing but my spiritual prayers.
In the meantime, a Christian Science lecture was scheduled to take place in another part of my home state. My 14-year-old granddaughter and her school friends had selected the lecture and my granddaughter was going to announce the speaker. Now my granddaughter is not a Christian Scientist. (Her mother had been absolutely against any religion.) This would be the first introduction to Christian Science for my daughter and her friends.
Although I could not attend the lecture, I had to know that all was under the control of the divine Mind and that no human opinion or event could impede that spiritually inspired outreach into the community. After the lecture, I received texts saying that my granddaughter’s introduction was amazing. Her mother stayed for the whole lecture.
My son also attended, and wrote to me that it was just wonderful and he felt so uplifted. I replied, “Since you are filled with wonderful spiritual sense, I was wondering if you could pray with me for my pup.” He responded, “Yes, of course I will. Her foot is perfect, as it always was.”
The next morning, Eve was markedly better. She even did a little chase of the wild turkeys where I was staying. Each hour she improved more and more. I am so grateful for this quick Christian Science healing for my dog and myself. As Hymn 3 says, “A grateful heart a garden is, where there is always room for every lovely, Godlike grace to come to perfect bloom.”
