Thumb completely free of pain
/For about seven or eight months, I could not use my left thumb freely. It caused me great pain to bend it naturally. Most of the time I would wrap it with a bandage to keep it in a straight position.
Over these months, I sometimes wondered if the thumb would set permanently in that way. There were two occasions that contradicted my wonderings. One evening when I didn’t have the bandage on, I was reading the testimonies shared by our Association members. At one point I saw the thumb bent naturally without any pain. I had a similar experience one Sunday after the church service.
In working for healing, the following statement by Mrs. Eddy was especially eye-opening: “Sickness is neither imaginary nor unreal, – that is, to the frightened, false sense of the patient. Sickness is more than fancy; it is solid conviction” (Science and Health, p. 460:14-16).
My concern over the thumb lessened, and one day I noticed I was completely free of pain and discomfort. I give thanks to God for this healing.
